About Our Dog Trainer Consultant — John Holcomb

John has served as a full-time law enforcement K-9 handler, trainer, and supervisor. He has trained and maintained numerous law enforcement K-9 teams in all aspects of police utility dog team training. He’s still active and continues to train several full-time police dogs.

John also instructs and provides personal protection dogs and training for the homeowner. The training is followed by a placement program that bonds the K-9 to the receiving family. This gives the homeowner the confidence and peace of mind of having an obedient canine family member that will go to no end to protect the property and well-being of the family and its members. John served his community as a Deputy Sheriff of the K-9 Unit in Indiana. He has trained several teams from across America in man trailing and man tracking. John has been involved in over 800 actual K-9 emergencies and searches, including lost children, lost elderly people, Alzheimer’s patients, lost hunters, accident victims, fleeing felons, and jail and prison escapees.

Many of the personnel trained by John have gone on to hold notable professional careers and positions within federal law enforcement agencies, state police agencies, private businesses, and other agencies.

John’s expertise has given him the opportunity to work with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Indiana Department of Natural Resources, the Indiana State Police, the Indiana Police Work Dog Association, the United States Marshals Service, several city and county police departments as well as several volunteer fire departments, and search and rescue teams.

John's wife Mackenzie, a licensed registered nurse, will be joining the business in the near future. Mckenxzie will have the direct responsibility as business manager and overseeing the daily operation of the business includeing sales and marketing.
